No disturbed area will remain denuded for more than 14 <br />calendar days unless otherwise cuthorized by the director <br />or his agent. <br />2. All erosion and sediment control measures are to be <br />placed prior to or as the first step in grading. First <br />areas to be cleared are to be those required for the <br />perimeter controls. <br />3. All storm and sanitary sewer lines not in streets ore to <br />be mulched and seeded within 5 days after backfili. No <br />more than 500 feet are to be open at any one time. <br />4. Electrical power, telephone and gas supply trenches are <br />to be compacted, seeded and mulched within 5 days after <br />bockfill. <br />5. Where consistent with job safety requirements, all <br />excavated material is to be placed on the uphill side of <br />trenches. No material is to be placed in streombeds. Any <br />stockpiled material which will remain in place longer <br />than 10 days is to be seeded for temporary vegetation and <br />mulched with straw mulch. When, soil is placed on A <br />downhill side of trench it is to tie back- sloped to drain <br />toward trench. When necessary to dewater the trench, . the <br />pump discharge hose must outlet in a stabilized area or <br />a sediment basin. <br />6. Any disturbed area not covered by note #1 above and not <br />paved, sodded or built upon by November 1st, or disturbed <br />after that date, is to be mulched with hay or straw mulch <br />at the rate of two tons per acre: and over -- seeded no later <br />than 15th. <br />7. All temporary earth berms, diver: ;ions and sediment <br />control dams are to be mulched and seeded for temporary <br />vegetative cover immediately after grading. Straw or hay <br />mulch is required. the some applies to all soil <br />stockpiles. <br />8. During construction, oil storm surer inlets will be <br />protected by inlet protection devices, maintained and <br />modified as required by construction progress. <br />9. At the completion of construction pro jects and prior to <br />the release of the bond, all temporary sediment and <br />erosion controls shall be removed and all disturbed areas <br />shall be stabilized. <br />10. here stream crossings ore required for equipment, <br />temporary culverts will be provided. <br />Erosion & Sediment Control Notes : <br />1. Typical subbase stone (21 -A) shall be used for temporary <br />construction entrance with woven fabric under liner. <br />2. Tree protection (standard & specification 3.38) shall be <br />used for designated existing trees to be saved near the <br />limits of clearing & grading. <br />Phasing Of Land Disturbing Activities <br />The first phase of construction will consist of clearing for and <br />construction of mechanical controls and standard construction <br />entrance. Clearing, grubbing and rough grading, of the maximum area <br />allowed to be denuded at one time will be done. sanitary sewer, <br />storm sewer, water lines and their appurtenances will then be <br />installed, concurrently with revegetation of slopes at final grade <br />or areas denuded longer than the time specified on construction <br />notes stated above. Pavement will then be installed. Sediment <br />controls will be removed and their sites restored as areas <br />above are stabilized subject to the approval of the inspector. <br />Ti m m , • . # # ♦ <br />All measures are to be inspected doils/ by the site superintendent <br />or his representative. Any damaged eros ion control device or seeded <br />areas will be repaired by the close of the some day.
